Guided Trips

Muskegon River Guide Service

The Great Lakes Fly Fishing Company is pleased to be booking guided fly fishing float trips on the Muskegon River. This tailwater fishery provides exciting trout, king salmon and steelhead fly fishing.

The season begins with a Spring steelhead run. This Spring fishery provides active sport in late March and April. May brings the start of trout season. Brown and rainbow trout become our target species as we fish dries, nymphs and streamers for these stream trout throughout the summer. September provides not only fine trout fishing but the start of the Fall king salmon run. The king's run strong into October, with a population of steelhead following behind. The rest of the yearŐs sport is dependent upon water temperature. From November through mid-March, favorable conditions can prove productive for the holdover steelhead and resident stream trout.

Our guides practice catch and release fishing as we float down the Muskegon. Guide fees are $295 per boat, per day with each boat hosting one or two anglers. Flies and gratuities are not included in aforementioned price. For reservations call us at 1-800-303-0567.

Warm Water Guide Service

We also offer guided fly fishing trips for warm water species throughout June, July and August. These trips focus on smallmouth bass with carp (our local bonefish) as an added bonus. Call us at 1-800-303-0567 for further details and reservations.
